Hi Ladies!

This is General Information about Claims. (I am almost always speaking of claims in general but specifically highlight PTSD/MST claims ).

You can file and "INFORMAL CLAIM" and have 1 year to file a "FORMAL CLAIM".

An Informal Claim filing date is the start-date for lump-sum $$ accrual paid to you when you are rated at whatever percentage you win.

The only times I remember the hand of my uncle up my skirt, or the rapist's gun at my head, is when it helps another woman.

Tonight I have been writing with a woman who was also raped, and we seem to have connected due to shared trauma.

a harsh reminder...

today was a harsh reminder of the reality of my deployment to iraq.

my phone rang - a number i did not recognize. initially i didn't answer, but after three missed calls from the same number, i called back. it was my previous brigade commander who now works at the pentagon. he just returned from a five-day visit to iraq, taking previous wounded warriors back to see how the country has transformed...

first, know that we are all alive and okay, he began - my first clue...
