How We're Funded
Grace After Fire to date has been funded by the sweat and tears of women veteran volunteers, the community at large with private donations, and our staff of committed women – and Chris. Everyone has given their time, their money, and their heart to the mission of providing a safe haven for our women veterans.
Grace After Fire is a program of The Woman’s Heart which has been in business since 2002 serving women in need of help. In the past we have been awarded several competitive grants. Recently we have put all our efforts into to building the program without capital. We are done.
Now, back to raising resources to continue our work and bring even more programs to our women veterans and their families. We know that there are many private foundations that share our mission and we are looking for you.
We realize that these are hard times financially for our country but we know that when it comes to our veterans, especially our women veterans, we will respond. Whether it is a dollar per person, or a gifted bed for a woman's child, our country will respond.
A Veteran - whether active duty, discharged, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America' for an amount of "up to and including my life." She served, she deserves.
–Author Unknown Together, let's give what we can. Every dollar allows us to answer the phone, return an email, and help her get the healthcare and mental health services she deserves.
Donate to a women veteran who has less than you.
